I was fortunate to be invited to the final session of WEC 2015 6th race in Fuji International Speedway in Japan.
I admit that I have been a fan of motor sport since I was very little. The first one that I remember was F1 at Fuji (which my dad was watching on TV), and I remember the announcer saying "James Hunt!'. I'm not sure of the result, but that was my first race watching. Since then, I studied F1, Endurance including 24 Heures du Mans, and such. But after I started working, it was pushed back from my hobby line-up. It has been a long time dream to watch the race at a circuit, with my own eyes.
As you may know, there are many circuits where many great drivers lost their lives and thinking of those places still would bring tears to my eyes. That said, going to Fuji Speedway, where it all started for me is something very special - once in a lifetime (I hope not!) "a dream comes true" experience.
I will divide the sections to three as following, and I hope you don't get bored by my as-usual lengthy report.
1. About the WEC race
2. Welcome dinner, surprise guests + short interviews
3. Final Session at Fuji with lots of photos, and watches.
I hope you enjoy the report as I did at the Fuji Speedway.
Best,
Ken
Oops, I couldn't resist....
