After the relaunch of the Laureato for Girard-Perregaux 225 Years Anniversary last year, the Laureato is now back in full scale!

Four different sizes, four different movements.

Alexandre Dumas classic, the Four Musketeers comes to mind – One for all and all for one!

Yes, with this new family there is a Laureato for all tastes.

Small, mid-size, large and extra-large. With or without diamonds, with or without Tourbillon.

Also, the different combinations of metals, dial colour, strap/bracelet is there to choose from.

In total 30 different versions was released of the Laureato this year!

Case Sizes: 34mm, 38mm, 42mm and 45mm.

Case: Steel, Steel/Pink Gold, Pink Gold, Titanium/White Gold.

Dial colours: Silver, Grey and Blue.

Strap/Bracelet: Leather strap – White, Grey, Blue, Black. Bracelet – Steel, Steel/Pink Gold, Pink Gold, Titanium/White Gold.

34mm, Steel, Blue dial:

Strap option, last year’s 41mm Limited Edition did not offer a strap option.

Now there is a strap option for all the models.

Even though my personal feeling is that this type of leisure sports watch should be on bracelet, I think it is good that GP offers an option.

38mm, Pink Gold, White dial:

Except for the size and movement, there are some differences compared with the 225 Anniversary model.

A couple we have been discussing a lot here in the forum…

One of the more obvious is the fact that the date window is now colour matching with the dial!

I know a lot of people like this due to the argument that it interferes less with the dial.

Personally, I like the look but it makes it harder to read the date, especially on the grey dial.

On the blue dial this makes the number on the date disk look smaller.

Another change is the crown.

The new crown is more rounded like a “rose bud” compared with the crown on the 41mm.

42mm, Steel, Silver dial:

But the biggest difference, and here I get a feeling GP really have listened to their fans, are the movements.

The 34mm comes with a Quartz movement, GP013100.

True to its origin, both in size and type of movement!

This is the only one with closed case back:

The 38mm has the same movement as last year’s Laureato, the automatic movement, GP03300.

Here the case- and movement size ratio is much better than we normally see with the GP03300!

Due to the bracelet, I have no photo of the open case back of the 38mm, but an even better case/movement ratio then shown here with the 41mm version:

The 42mm version has the Calibre GP01800 automatic movement.

Also, a better matching movement in comparison to the case size.

Now this is how I like to see an open case back:

Notice that the water resistance has been improved since last year on the 38mm and 42mm versions!

Last but not least, the 45mm have the automation Tourbillon with micro rotor, GP09510:

I will not go into details about the Tourbillon here, such a beauty deserves a separate post!

What really hit me while looking at all these different sizes of the Laureato, is how well Girard-Perregaux managed to keep the design and proportions!

I should not be surprised, we already saw this within the GP1966 line, but yes, masterly done!

My personal favourite among all the versions is the 42mm in steel with blue dial.

Fits my 17.5cm wrist perfect and blue… I don’t need to explain the blue for you here!

In the same time, I must confess the grey dial really got to me, the silver not so much, but the grey Clou de Paris pattern is just stunning!

No matter which size…!
