Bringing to us the Girard-Perregaux Minute Repeater Tri-Axial Tourbillon, GP this year again has an exceptional mechanical complication for us at SIHH 2018.

Last year we had the Tri-Axial Tourbillon Planetarium and the year before the Minute Repeater with Tourbillon under Bridges.

This year, GP really topped that by combining a Minute Repeater with the Tri-Axial Tourbillon. It is much closer in looks to the Minute Repeater with Tourbillon under Gold Bridges. The case is still large but does not require bubbles on the sapphire and it has a great lightness with its transparency. This is a watch I’m looking forward seeing and hearing.

The time display is regulator style with two sapphire disc, one displaying the hours and the other the minutes. Probably not easy to read, but perhaps that was on purpose, so you make use more often of listening to the time than looking it up.
