SIHH 2019: Girard-Perregaux introduces the Laureato Absolute, the Cosmos and Earth-to-Sky theme

Friends,

it is time to take a sneak peek at the Novelties from SIHH 2019 from Girard-Perregaux. Expect to see some live shots later this week, but let’s have a quick look what’s new this year.

Laureato Absolute:

A new interpretation of the classic Laureato, bigger, bolder and deeper. We have 3 versions in Titanium black DLC treated:

The time-only/date

The Chronograph and

The WW.TC

Cosmos:

This year’s Haute Horlogerie Masterpiece with Tourbillon, rotating Earth and Sky.

1966 “Earth to Sky” Edition

This year a whole theme of “Earth to Sky” is dominating the novelties, so it makes sense to also release a special 1966 Limited Edition. Steel case, again black DLC treated with blue sunburst dial.

As you may know in the early part of the 1900, Girard-Perregaux and MIMO were managed by the same owners. Due to that the brands shared several models with just the name on the dial different. Like the Large Date from the 1940s: GP Catalogue 1940 – MIMO 1940s – Another example of these models which were featured by both brands was the GP Regulator or MIMO CENTRIC.
