A few days ago, I had the opportunity to see again the Midnight Minute Repeater in the
new Harry Winston boutique located rue de la Paix. This visit gave me the ability to take better
pictures of the watch I presented you in July in the hereafter article:

In a few words, it is a relevant evolution of a model which was unveiled during the last quarter of 2009. It includes by a very convincing way several aesthetic details which art part of the Midnight
Collection style. The new hands are the best evidence of this style along with the more subtle finishings of the off-centered dial:
The openings of the dial allow you to enjoy not only the hammers
at play (it was the case of the previous watch as well) but also the mechanism of the complication:
The movement, which comes from Renaud & Papi, offers an unusual show due to the clear separation of gongs and hammers from the main plate:
The Midnight case gives to the watch a slender style accentuated by the 42mm diameter.
The best conditions allowed me to shoot a movie of the Midnight Minute Repeater in action. So what's the verdict? The sound quality is it up to my expectations? It remains positive even if it is not perfect. The positive points are the good contrast between the two notes and the rhythm of the hammers play. However, I would have appreciated a more "warm" sound, less sharp and a more powerful volume.
Anyway, the greatest asset of the Midnight Minute Repeater remains its
ability to mobilize two senses at the same time. What a pleasure to
hear the watch strike while observing the movement of the hammers and
the mechanism in action!
Thanks a lot to the team of the Harry Winston boutique in Paris.
