This or that... LaFerrari MP-05 vs Big Bang Carbon Minute Repeater

Now I have fallen for 2 high complications from Hublot... however I am also quite fond of my body parts so none of those are currently for sale to finance the purchase of either one of then! I had offered my liver, but this had been turned down due to excessive abuse over the past 25 years.

So currently it is just looking at the pictures and wondering which I would go for...

The amazing Big Bang Carbon Minute Repeater - a technically amazing piece to look at and feather light on the wrist. The chime is crisp and louder than most repeaters I have had the pleasure of trying. This is one of the clearest repeaters (if not the best) that Hublot have made and I don't think I would never get bored of hearing it chime. Almost forgot... there is that hidden slider fully incorporated into the Hublot DNA... now I love that too!

Or...

The LaFerrari MP-05. There are several versions of the LaFerrari, however the ceramic version is one of my favourites. Technically an amazing piece which was created with the looks of a Ferrari engine however fitted with a vertical tourbillon and 8 barrels providing a 50 day power reserve. The more I try on this watch, the more I would love to own one, it is so comfortable on the wrist and even though not easy to read the time or wear with a jacket... who cares if you run late, you can always blame it on having to finding secure parking for your LaFerrari!

If you won the lotto or had taken care of your body making it more marketable than my own, which would you go for... this or that?

They are totally different watches... Classical Vs Space. Not that the repeater is classic, but done Hublot style. I think the MP-05 is really the one for arms, legs, eyes, liver, kidneys, lungs, children, house, car, dog, cat, hamster... etc etc. The price difference is not so huge... if you...

Dear Andrew, without any hesitation, I would opt for the minute repeater as, for me, it is the most beautiful complication. Nevertheless, I would be curious to hear the sound of this Hublot model as I do not know if carbon is the best case material to be it on the air (sorry for my poor English and I hope you understood what I mean). One is wearable in real life, and the other one is more of a statement than a watch. Besides that \'Ferrari\' should only be printed on cars. But that\'s my narrow minded view. So I would go for this. But only if fitted with orange hands!

Almost 10 years old... the story behind the watch that started my passion for Hublot

This is one of the most precious watches I own. It is not at all related to the monetary value of the piece but I can truly say that I have had the pleasure of owning it for almost 10 years and it is the one watch which started my long path with Hublot as well as collecting watches in general. I am talking about my iconic Hublot Big Bang Black Magic. The watch has certainly kept with the times, verses the long forgotten Nokia 9500!! I still clearly remember the day I ordered it, months of looking at Hublot advertising on the streets of Geneva and finally pushing that button to pay the deposit to be on the waiting list! At the time, this was the most expensive luxury item I had ever bought myself and it really took some saving, but I knew from the first time I saw it that I wanted it and the 3 to 4 month wait list at the time was like torture.
