Very much agree with everything you mentioned!

 

The secondary market supports the primary market, they are intertwined. No matter where or how Lange owners purchased their watches, they still make a commitment to the brand and long term recognizing and supporting fans of the brand is the most important thing to long term brand equity. Sales will follow as long as the product remains excellent and the brand is strong. Abandoning one set of existing customers in pursuit of another set of new customers isn't always a bad strategy if there is a reinvention of the brand but I don't see that here. The product line is basically the same so acquiring new customers for the same products seems like it will be a rough road...
