Blancpain

ps: Jeff, all else aside, I do have to say that I find this comment beneath you...

appealing to a passing comment from a Car and Driver about something like this - "Perhaps you've noticed that Audi's ascension to the front office at Sant'Agata has transformed the maker of the volatile '60's Miura into something dependable....Firing up the engine does not set off flames in some surprising location."

"FIRING UP THE ENGINE ...SET OFF FLAMES IN SOME SURPRISING LOCATIONS" - come on, Jeff, that's really beneath you to resort to sensationalism to make your point - incendiary Miuras were rather the exception than the rule, certainly more so an exception than properly working 1735's ex factory. (my sincere apologies to Mr. Marc Hayek, whom I respect immensely and whom I hope understands the proper context of my comments)

I'm just asking you to be both fair and consistent with your comments and perspectives; I think that underscores my side of this entire exchange.

Miura vs 275GTB/4 longnose; later the Daytona.

Countach vs Daytona, later the various Boxers.

hmmm...
