Yes, they are not the same kind of crafts
I must say I like how they used diamond-settings on the ladies minute repeater quite more.
On the watch you mention, it is much more very colourful, I would take it like a funny and original watch that would be worn as a "Fantaisie" jewel, not something taken seriously, with casual smart wearing.
It should talk to specific customers I guess.
You're right to mention that enamel is put forward much more than marquetry (or engraving etc...). I guess the way colours are seen is more impressive in an enameled dial and this is something people can identify and recognize more easily. But Marquetry deserves more room indeed.
I noticed that they didn't include the date which is indeed something a few Purists are asking for. Maybe more in the future but I doubt it :p
