I would love to get a minute repeater too. The 5078, the 5029 or the classical 5339 that Bruno shot a while ago are very appealing to me. I recommend that you read the special book Patek published about their line-up of MR models, it is a gorgeous little book with all the timeline. I haven't read all of it yet but the pictures, the double pages paper etc... it is a very nice experience.
The hobnail decoration is indeed something quite "special" and will not be everyone's taste. I like it less on smaller watches like the 5116 or 5119 for instance.

What I find interesting is that the 5230 NY is the same price, in dollars, as the 5230 that came out last year. I don't think Patek would have been criticized if it had charged a premium for that dial.
