I first thought a few weeks ago that it was a Minute Repeater on which they added the center enameled part but it is so much more than that in the end. That's why leaks I think may bring more problems than the pleasure to see on a picture a novelty yet to... 

I wasn't sure whether I would like 5522 either. But as you have pointed out, the new pictures look very promising indeed. I think in the metal it will be a stunner. Same experience as with 5524G. Best, Volker

As to the editions I am amazed at how good they are. The 5531 is magical to say the least. As are the wood dial pieces. As for the more realistic pieces the blue world timer is quite amazing but not something I have room or budget for in my collection how...

Envious as I will not be able to get my hands on this new and more simple execution of the pilot watch. The enamels on the wrist and pocket watches are just great. Regarding the pocket watches, the New York sky lines are even more beautiful than on the wr... 

We may like some of these watches but may not be able to get them (and in the mean time we like when the number remains low). Like cars, it is nice to admire the work and enjoy them without necessarily buying them. I would have liked to get the 5230G or a... 

What I find interesting is that the 5230 NY is the same price, in dollars, as the 5230 that came out last year. I don't think Patek would have been criticized if it had charged a premium for that dial.

The prices of Patek's limited editions are never higher than the regular models and Patek never says it is more expensive because it is LE. It is totally different than saying we make LEs thus it will worth more so we decide to add a premium. That's why L...

Well, the 5531 NY Special Edition is really gorgeous but I have a bias, it's a minute repeater (by far my favourite complication). Regarding its case, I'm less thrilled than you. The other one I like a lot is the "Sheridan style". May be a little bit "too... 

I would love to get a minute repeater too. The 5078, the 5029 or the classical 5339 that Bruno shot a while ago are very appealing to me. I recommend that you read the special book Patek published about their line-up of MR models, it is a gorgeous little ...

Mark, Thanks for the simplified precis of the new watches. I don't remember reference numbers that many sites use of exclusively instead of descriptive names. We can't all be walking catalogues! How lucky some people are to be in NYC for this Patek Philip...

They are not usually my cup of tea, I imagine it really depends on what decoration you choose and what theme is chosen. That tells a lot about the impact on the vent of the coherence of a theme and how it is put into the colelctions. There weren't picture... 

Varied and interesting releases. Not all to my taste (and for sure not my pocket) but some I found surprisingly appealing. The 5522 in particular attracted me, despite not being a pilot fan in general. There is something about it!

Its is a modern dial theme on a Patek watch that is usually on the more traditional side. A watch quite cool to wear imho Yes, I think that the 5522 really needs to be seen in the metal. I like this grainy blue dial that seems to be the same than on the 5...

I really like the WT and some of the artisan watches. I can't see the fascination for some of the other ones (like the pilot watch) but we all have different opinions ;-)

A spectacular event; the venue perfect, the PP staff/craftspeople most informing and accommodating; and of course the event limited edition pieces were very special, the historic PP museum pieces, a joy to view in person along with the entire collection. ...
