Horological Meandering

Very interesting topic.

I don't think that every watch willbe equally finished in the Future.

It takes time, and requires skill to finish a movement, I mean not an industrial finish, but a handmade one.

Which has a consequence on the ...Price.

Look at a VC skeleted minute repeater, for example, and compare it to a Panerai Pam 112, with its ETA movement.

There is a world between these 2, in terms of finish, sophisitcation and budget.

Both have their interest, of course, but if we speak about the finish, there is no possible comparison.

I think that an exceptiona level of finish will stay ...exceptional, reserved to a certain category of watches.

Why?

Because not everybody wants to pay for such an outcome, and even more, some don't care about the movement.

Like some don't care about a complication and are happy with a simple and nice watch.

And everybody's right, here!

Let's see what the others think.

Best,

Nicolas
