Time travelling…
Although all based on IWC classics, perhaps more than any other watch in this anniversary collection it is the Aquatimer Automatic that transports me back to an earlier time.
It’s going to be difficult to decide between this watch and the JLC Polaris that is to be reissued this year. Both born in the 1960’s and perfectly suited to their function. Not sure that the sapphire exhibition back really sits well with a diving watch, but I guess I can live with that with the Cal. 80111 on display.

These watches are meant as complements rather than replacements. I do agree about the Da Vinci's shape but this is the shape of the original Da Vinci and is reflective of the era in which the original was conceived (not the greatest of times). - SJX
