Jaeger-LeCoultre

Details...

Nicolas my friend,

I was referring only to the original Geophysic (ref. E168), which was of course antimagnetic and featured a soft iron dial and cap. You are absolutely correct that there was another version (ref. 2985) which was marketed to civilians, and was not antimagnetic. And you are also correct that the Geomatic was not protected. But of the three, I consider the E168 Geophysic to be the most pure, as it was the model designed to showcase JLC's technical capabilities of the era.

From a strict marketing perspective, I have little doubt that your idea would be appealing. However, being something of a purist (no pun intended), I'd prefer that they not associate any such contemporary model with the iconic Geophysic. Perhaps a new Geomatic would be the perfect compromise...

Best regards,

Tony C.
