And while i do agree with your point Nicolas, could i try to persuade you in viewing this as a 21st century prototype?
I mean take for example the case materials, one of the most popular materials for modern Pannies is their titanium ones. And titanium doesnt exists back then historically, primarily because it wasnt exactly known to be utilised just yet.
And if OP was to do everything exactly historically, you would agree that all their models nowadays should exist ONLY in 47mm, not under, which happens to be more than 90% of their products nowadays which i totally disagree.
So to put a small second together with the Cali, it's more of like ushering a new era!
Not to mention the usage of the new Minerva ( the same 16-17 as utilised in the 309/322 , which btw is not NOS), and the numbers this time round are not given the vintage brown patinated look, meaning they should shine that extra little brighter than the 249.

At SIHH 2009, the PAM349 was supposed to be the PAM321 on bracelet. Panerai doesn't have this model listed on its website, so does this mean they did not make this PAM349 (PAM321 w/ bracelet) ? PAM321 And so, gave this PAM349 designation to this new 47mm ...

Is that all PAMs are originally black, with some in blue, it's just their exposure to the sun and elements over the years turned them into brown! So even though nowadays the quality of the dial materials are way much better than back then, i'm sorta apply...
