5170 for me
I think that if you want a PP chrono it has to be a manual movement IMO.
I tried the 5905P few months ago and I could not get over the thickness. It is heavy on the wrist and I could not wear it all day long. Previous heavy watches I owned spent their time in the safe... I give you that the dials of the 5905 are really nice; I liked the black dial best.
Here are some of my snaps when trying the beasts. One thing that I don't understand is why PP does not deliver these with a folding clasp; surely with a heavy watch you want a clasp so you have less chances to drop it when putting it on and off. Maybe this is done to keep the price down.

5905P in blue dial
Annual calendar, can be dressed up or down and the blue dial is beautiful.
Both are great watches.
But I personally like the 5170 more because of the movement and manual wind, as well as the aesthetic of breguet numerals and leaf hands. I certainly appreciate the argument for the AC but this 5170 is just my preference. Good luck.

The manual chrono movement is just gorgeous and the thinner case feels more comfortable on the wrist to me than the 5905.

The 5170 case leaves me a little bit cold, and i would much prefer the 5905P. The 5170 case is a little too thin, and does not have the heft of the P. Good luck!

I asked to try with a folding clasp, and it makes the watch even thicker. That\'s the reason I think.
