I'm sure you have guessed my opinion about this 5470...
I will not comment on the finishing issue that has been much debated here already (with right imho as I share the concern about this issue) so I will more comment the aesthetic issue.
The color combination and global design could have been a good idea for a watch targeting a young (and wealthy) clientele willing a modern PP design rather than classy classic one, but this should have been in steel with a normal chronograph caliber (the one of ref 5170 for example) and not a highly complicated 1/10 sec chronograph. The price positioning could have been then somewhere between a 5960 G or P and a 5170, instead of reaching 1/2 million euros which imho is inconsistent with the look of the watch.

I'm interested in the 5370 R and on the waiting list at my AD.
I don't know yet if I'll actually buy it. I find all these current prices quite... (sorry) obscene. Ultimately, they're concentrating on fewer and fewer customers and milking them dry. A widespread problem in the watch industry. Just my2c. š

I think this watch is just - ok - but doesnāt get my juices flowing. It is aligned with Pateks overall aesthetic codes or design philosophy. Classical with a twist of modern that feels quite cold and industrial. Itās a shame because PP is an amazing brand...

I've sold my JLC Duometre QL primarily due to the constant foudroyante second hand... at least you can activate/deactivate it on this one.

That said, as Mike H has suggested, steel would have made the watch more affordable. In platinum the asking price is half a million and, as Bruno pointed out, at this price point you are entitled to expect high-end hand finishing, which isn't the case her...
