Patek Philippe

I concur. Here's my opinion. I might be slightly biased...

Some thoughts about Cubitus.  The case and head of the watch are really squarish and sharp angled, almost Brutalist in architectural style.  Brutalism is an architectural style using a lot of concrete, and a lot of government/university buildings in the 50s and 60s were erected in this style.    Yet the bracelet of the Cubitus doesn't share that same sense of sharp angled Brutalism.  There's a photo of brutalist architecture.

When comparing the Cubitus to the Nautilus, you'll notice a few distinct differences.  The Cubitus is larger.  Much more masculine.  The taper of the bracelet is much stronger than the Nautilus.  So they're definitely different bracelets.

The Nautilus with its more curvaceous square shape looks much more congruent with its bracelet in my eyes.  The concave shape of the taper compliments the rounded/scalloped corners of the case.  This "congruence" of the Nautilus, lends to its elegance.

When I saw the bracelet on the Cubitus, I felt it was wasn't a great pairing with the head/case of the watch.  The rounded taper of the bracelet isn't repeated anywhere else in the Cubitus design.  And with the Cubitus and Nautilus side by side, I feel this mismatch is more evident.

Please reference the photo below and look carefully at the taper of the bracelets.

While I never thought the Nautilus as a "feminine" watch, it is much less masculine than the Cubitus.

Some people have mentioned the Cubitus reminds me of the Cartier Santos Dumont timepiece.  I don't see that as much - as the Santos clearly has lugs to me (integrated bracelet watches by definition do not have traditional lugs).  To me, I see half Octo Finissimo and half Nautilus.  And yes, yes, yes, I know, the Octo Finissimo does technically have lugs - which means I should stop calling it an integrated bracelet design.  Thank you to our critical members who PM'd me to point that out!  Our eagle eyed readers are amazing!

I'm still really excited to see the Cubitus.  But I fear it won't look great on my wrist.

Oh, and full disclosure, I might be biased - since I own one of these watches and not the other.
