What you say is perfectly logical and makes sense (about the monopusher matter).
But I would say that a watch should not be judged and analyzed on a sole logic angle and that some unrational or aesthetical criteria could be implied and change the rules.
I think I would prefer the balance of a 2 pushers chrono than a mono. I would keep the mono for a more classically looking timepiece.
As for the automatic, first as it has a solid caseback we wouldn't be able to see the beauty of a manual wound movement and secondly, for an everyday use I feel the automatic display is more relevant.
I guess all positions can be justified.
As far as I'm concerned, I'm an automatic guy, except for chronos wich movement is open worked like a 5070/5170/Dato if you see what I mean.
Many opinion on that matter, nice to see we are all different and we all are looking for something specific in a watch
