Patek Philippe

My thoughts.....

......this watch has something. It has something of the Factor X about it. I appreciate that this is just a personal opinion and really has no truth other than to me...and on a personal level....but, the last watch that Patek made that had a similar Factor X was the 5070P. There is a great line in the film "Big Fish'....it goes like this....

"There are some fish that cannot be caught. It's not that they are faster or stronger than other fishthey're just touched by something extra."

I can't tell you why I think it, but this chrono is touched by something special.

Like Nicolas, I would have much preferred to see it with a manual movement. Regarding the hands....I like them. As Moritz put it so well, this watch looks at you and winks. This is the kind of watch that looks at you and says..."I know what I bring to the table, and that is why I am not afraid to dine alone". The three hand appearance....the lack of subdial.......in the same way that there is so much quirkily "wrong" with the 5070, this 5975 has issues that are both quirky and seemingly weird.

But for me, this is a killer watch. I love it.
