a watch was selling for such a high price! The 2442 is still the most difficult to find and the most expensive of these three references, but we’re very far from what you describe, nonetheless and it’s a good thing.
On C24, the Portuguese retailer who has one (Espadim 1985) also has a full set Chronometro Gondolo pocket watch which I find interesting.

So I'm in the minority here -
For whatever reason, I don't like diamond dials, with very few exceptions. I love the yellow gold. Even more than the 2442. Big banana I think is the nickname. Beautifully balanced. Not that the 2442 isn't impressive, of course it is. Great post!

From the pix, seems wrist fit is off because the case back is flat with the lug ends like 4 legs which need to rest on a really flat wrist.
