I think your summary of thoughts echo mine as well. Something about the case design that I find so appealing. Of course, one can wish for other hypothetical add ons ie applied hour markers/applied breguet numerals...but its time I get something that doesn't replicate what I already have on the dials of the 5124g and 5098r. This 5115j does that well...
Maybe thats why I also find the 5110 so sexy...its the crown guards. Alas...the price ..
Perhaps thats the grail piece when the time comes. For now, something to give me a collection of 3, which I feel took time and lots of thought to complete.

I have been looking closely at the three references 5115, 5116 and 5119. While each has its charm, I wonder if I don’t prefer the 5116: I think the welded lugs would work better for me here than the case shape of 5115 with “integrated” lugs and crown guar...

The point about the smaller Roman numerals, plus solid caseback are the negatives in my mind too. However, the hobnail bezel and crown guard, plus case to lug seamless flow is to me simply sexy. Even the side profile... Difficult choice...till now, I am h...
The 5115 is a terrific piece. So very Patek but in a more modern case.
At 35mm, too small for me, but if you're looking at between 33-36mm, then it seems like a great option.
I would go for the 5116
The 5116 r in particular is a very, very nice Calatrava. The 5115 is too much retro, as amanico also mentioned.
Its amazing how divided the opinions are.
The beauty of patek having so many permutations in its selections.... Anything about the enamel dial on the 5116 that you can comment on my dear Count ?
The only comment I can make is, that it is a very fitting option for a 5116.
Makes perfect sense to equipt a watch like this with an enamel dial.

Both very nice watches. Can’t go wrong with either one - but my clear choice would be 5115. Perfect combination of vintage aesthetic and modern elements. More sporty
(with crown guard and desirable screw back case), versatile (dress up/dress down), more interesting and substantial looking case. And overall prefer it aesthetically.
