Thank you so much. Seeing the 5711 in person was truly enlightening for me: it helped me understand why this watch is so beloved.
I'm not particularly drawn to steel watches with integrated bracelets, as I much prefer the feel and look of a leather strap and of precious metals. These watches are also poorly suited to desk work, as the strap gets scratched with every contact.
That's why I chose to buy an Alpine Eagle, which is infinitely more reasonably priced. I only wear it in the summer and I find it quite appealing, but it's clear that, all things considered, the 5711 is still a much better fit for my taste.

These are good review points.
Over a decade I found the blue dial would present itself in varying shades depending on viewing conditions, and the proportions and thinness very pleasant. Of all the watches I've owned the 5711 1A is my all time favorite.

and it speaks volumes about how great this watch is. I have no doubt that the blue dial is very nice and versatile: I’m just personally more drawn to other colors, which is why I chose the grey dial Alpine Eagle. Best, Emmanuel

Tbh i have never been a huge fan of the Nautilus and also not a big fan of bracelet watches . Imho the AP has an overall better design . I understand the appeal of the Patek but its just not for me 🤷🏻♂️

I completely understand why you would choose the Alpine Eagle despite valuing the 5711. I was able to buy the 5711 at a much more reasonable price back in 2012, but now it's incredibly expensive.
Well, it didn't feel “remarkable” or “spectacular” to me,
