That may be the case
Out of the three, the 5231J is the one I want the most from an emotional perspective. I love the romance of it and I think it is the perfect size. Really, my only reticence stems from acquiring it - I would prefer to get it from an AD, and feel like I cannot feel completely in love until I have it secured, if that makes sense. The enamel world timers have always been some of my favorite Pateks, and until recently, I never really viewed them as in reach. Kind of adjusting to that.
But I think that you have picked up on something. To be honest, my number one for the last decade has been the 5712, and that is what I currently have the money set aside for. I’m still kicking myself for not buying it for $25k - although at that time I didn’t have the money. I have lately come to the conclusion that I am not going to get it, so I have started to shift gears. I think a part of my heart still wants it, but it’s just not something that I am willing to pay 2x plus for. Still have my name down for it, but I know it isn’t going to happen.
I think this shift in focus is something you have astutely seen through.

I would make the exception and get both the world timer and new perpetual, I really like 5320G as well but might be going against your blue dial choices.
