The Buckley is a great watch to have, but it’s in really great condition and when one has a almost 50 year old watch that’s is nice condition like that one becomes a little more hesitant to wear it regularly.
And you’re dead right about the uncertainty. This would be a very big purchase, although any DD is material money these days.
And as Nicolas says above, one could have a lot of watch elsewhere for the same money. So that’s a definite consideration.
And as Fastwong notes, the days and value of mined diamonds seem to be in question. So does that make something like this see far more depreciation down the line (20 years from now), or will the pendulum swing back towards watches like this with mined diamonds.
