Love it, some of your questions are exactly what I'd be interested in knowing as well! The firing pin hole and machining finish are questions I don't know the answer to by default, I will email them next week and ask. I did take note of the internal finish, but remember this is the very first time I am holding one of these guns personally, and I've yet to even field strip it for the first time. The last two questions have been answered by Fastwong, those are deliberate choices, and I see no issues with that whatsoever. Thank you very much for pointing out the internal machining, I will return to the forum next week with an adequate answer. By the way, I am sincerely impressed with your shooting credentials, I've never aspired to be a competition shooter, just a highly proficient civilian and law enforcement professional! I satisfy myself mentally with being able to predictably hit a steel target with an iron sights 19/2011 at 100 yards/meters. Cheers, Filip

That bolt isn't decorative and serves a very significant purpose - it is one of the attachment points bolting the grip to the frame since they are two seperate parts. Also, I called myself the village idiot, I would never insult someone of your pedigree
No misreading, the trigger bow is an actual part of the trigger, the gaurd is a part of the frame. Those aren't interchangeable terms. Keep digging!

I spent the bulk of the past day disassembling and fiddling with each component of the gun separately, and after cleaning out the oil/lube/grease residues it is clear to me that the machining on the surface of the components is nothing short of exemplary....
My understanding....
Despite not yet having the opportunity to visit the factory in Texas myself is that each and every component is CNC machined from billet aluminum and subsequently finished and fitted by hand.... That's where the bulk of the $6-9K cost for these guns comes...
So, what is it succinctly that you specifically....
look for, and are willing to pay a premium for to get it on a custom built pistol??
