Brandon! I really enjoyed reading your response. It was so fantastic that I had to read it twice to fully absorb the greatness of it. You're EXACTLY right. There are two ways to do gem setting; as you put it one is an upgraded derivative model like adding a simple diamond bezel on a Rolex Day Date. While I agree, this VC is in this derivative category, it is extremely well done with trapezoidal diamonds, different shapes, the invisible setting, etc. It's really well done. And the other way is to do something utterly fantastic that is "transformational." I'm trying to think of transformational jeweled watches and the one I keep on coming back to this one below, the MB&F HM3 JWLRYMACHINE! I find this watch SOOO COOL.

Personally, while I like jeweled watches - I can't justify the additional expense. Although I really like the idea of a jeweled clasp since the clasp is sometimes scratched more heavily than the rest of the watch.
