Hi All The one watch for me that stands out for me for this theme is my Futurematic. Early on started getting watch magazines & it had an article on Futurematics & from that point in I was sold. Took a while and a couple of attempts, but I'm glad it's her...  

You make a good point, I remember when watch magazines and other media were an important part of collecting. I personally ended up hunting watches inspired this way and before the C24 era. You certainly made a great choice.

Always happier to go and see a watch, was at a well known shop on the Strand, which is now sadly gone. Got my Memomatic from there too - the infamous/fatal , I'm only going to look! Cheers JML

I started getting into watches circa 2006. I would go on purists, time zone, hour lounge, get watch time and the wristwatch annual (or whatever it was called). I remember around 2011 reading about a watch that blew me away - the montblanc collection ville...  

And a truly epic watch 👌🏻👍🏻 One of those that’s still in my dream list 😊 And you mention one of Montblanc’s weaknesses - their boutique network often doesn’t know how to deal with the high end pieces 🤷🏻‍♂️
