Rolex Sub ads in National Geographic - new and old

janJ
Ok - again - some rolex ads in National Geographic magazine.
I have received many request from people on these NG ads. after my post of GMT ads - I really like the gmt ads ....
The layout is
1) If the cover page is there - then the rolex ad comes after.

So you can always find the cover that matches the ad - year and month. Check out the Red Sub - that is in an ad from 1976 !!!
But the other ad for the 1680 is from 1973 an is a white.

Enjoy

Thanks, Jan! Cool post! Great to see these ads, especially the older ones. I used to love reading my father's subscription to National Geographic when I was a kid. Your post brings back fond memories of doing so. Cheers, Daos

Consistent advertising … Dear Jan, The ads really show how consistent the Rolex message has been across the decades. It’s obviously a great advertising idea – linking your watch with human achievement – and one that has been well copied. True or not, I still lov...
