The Patrimony Tradtionnelle Open- Worked Skeleton!

To me, this is truely THE Masterpiece of the year, among all the VC novelties this year.

none

The Chronos, simple or Perpetual Calendars, are cool, but too classic, too wise, IMO, and too big.

The 1921 was a reveletion for me, but compared to the awesome work made by VC with this Patrimony open - worked Skeleton, it is a step above, in terms of finish, and price, as well.

With the Patrimony Skeleton, you are in another dimension of perfection, of true VC DNA and spirit.

You're between Art and Horology, better, you have both!

The Extra Thin Cal 1120 ( only 2, 45 mm !) is housed in a very elegant and peefectly proportionned 38mm White Gold Case.

Even if, like the Chronos, I would have preferred to see the lugs of the Malte Line, I have to say that the outcome is really awesome.

I spent a lot of time contemplating this Beauty, admiring it, and totally loosing the notion of time, which is a very good sign. LOL

Here, the watch under different angles, to focus on the sober and efficient shape of the case:

none

The Back, also , is to admire.

for an automatic movement, this is awesome!

The work on each part of the movement is highy finished and worked, even the Rotor, which is a real sculpture.

none

If you want to get the full interest of this piece of Art, you have to put it on its side, like that:

none *

The dial is a gorgeous play of light and transparency.

And, as every exceptionnal watch, it will be able to survive to the Macro Test without problems:

none

In the Family of " simple " Time keepers coming with a skeleton dial, to me this VC is one of the nicest, if not the nicest, with the AP RO I recently saw in Paris:

none

Don't you notice that the movements look similar?

To wear it is a big pleasure, indeed.

none

The only problem is that if you have a hairy wrist like mine, you can see your wrist through the dial...

But it was an unique experience!

Hope you shared my joy and excitement on this watch.

Best.

Well I wouldn't call it " problem is that if you have a hairy wrist like mine, you can see your wrist through the dial..." it is yet another bonus because you have in certain angles and illumination quasi black meteorite like dial :0) congratulation on newest catch ... skeleton ...

The decorating that the engraver does for VC's watches... has only gotten better with time. For a vintage snob like myself this is one area in which the watches of today completely outclass their predecessors (and I own a skeleton perpetual from the late 1980's). From your picture of the Royal Oak I'd say that A...

Maybe the actual skeleton are lighter in Style And maybe it is easier for us to get their sublime Beauty, Bill? The good thing is that we all have our Chamions, and that we defend them with passion. And wait a bit, " La Crem de la Creme " is coming...soon. Best. Nicolas

I mean the quality of the engraving is clearly better now.... than it was 20 years ago. My watch is at VC for service, but when I get it back I'll take some macro photographs and compare them with yours (at least on the back side it will be easy to compare the differences on the 1120 caliber). Bill

I Love their skeleton watches... The engraving work is magnificent. Unfortunately, it seems skeleton watches are often under appreciated. IMHO the new Traditionelle Skeleton watch is a real beauty. Best regards, Dino

Wonderful Workmanship! Agree with all...VC skeleton movements are fantastic AND underappreciated. They belong, IMHO, alongside their minute repeater as ultimate expressions of horological art. Much preferred over the Kalla in any variation too ;-)
