I will do a proper review of these watches in due course. The 2777-1 has already had a short review, but the 2914 Railmaster and 165014 Seamaster are newly arrived (though in the case of the 2914, purchased many months ago). I wont say that this completes my Omega theme...(Laughs everywhere....), but it is a a start down a theme that provides a very nice complement to my Rolex collection. Each watch deserves its own review....but for now, a brief glimpse of the three Amigos.

Hhmmmm, that starts to be delicious. Even if you just opened a kind of Pandora's box.... Will you dig a bit more in the Seamaster Line? Will you go for a Speedmaster? Superb Seamaster, by the way. Just one question: Are you sure your hour hand is correct? Bravo, my friend. Nicolas

yes hour hand is correct ... for a very late 165014 like this ( case produced in 1964 just before the swap to the new model 165024 with " banana " lugs). here for example there is an Omega advertising from 1965 introducing the new model still with straight hour hand. it's the same qu...

il va sans dire..... killer.

moreover ... with a movement number in the range of 24 mill. ( watch " produced " not before 1965 ) the f..ing hour hand is correct .
marcello pisani September 30th, 2014-03:16
I want to enphasize some points ... 1) backs were produced ouside Omega .. so a back punched " 1964 " doesn't necessary means that the watch has been " assembled " ( = produced ) in the very same year ( something we have also in Rolex watches) 2) as with Rolex .... the swap between a model ...

Nilo doesn't really need much of an introduction from me as he has been around for many years. A regular contributor to many forums, but now the active Moderator for Omega. Firstly, congratulations Nilo on taking on the Omega forum. Omega is one of the most exciting manufacturers.
