This trip is Switzerland had one goal: Visiting the Omega Manufactures, which was a first for me! That was a good opportunity to better know this brand, and to discover how it works, the movement, the new collections, its philosophy and, of course, its glorious past. I can confess that I was very surprised. First of all, I didn't know that there were several manufactures, one in Saint Imier, the very same place where you can find another manufacture dear to my heart, Longines, and one in Bienne. I always .....Story

Hands on review of the Patek Philippe Twenty-4 Automatic

Avatar

Patek Philippe has just unveiled in Milan its latest ladies' watch, the Twenty-4 Automatic. Let's make no mistake about it: I consider this launch as the most important one from the Geneva brand this year. Because it is a collection that aims to generate volume and because it is dedicated to a clientele that must represent a significant growth relay. Even for Patek Philippe, the men's watches market is saturated and the ability to find new "male" customers is far from being obvious...Story

Another Crown enters my collection – Rolex 14060M LGF

Avatar

My very first “real watch” was a Rolex Sea-Dweller 16600… Another early in to the collection watch was the Explorer II 16570. Since then a lot of different watches, but not many Rolex… I never considered myself as a Rolex collector, but I always thought I should have a Submariner. A true classic that I think, even if looks are similar to the Sea-Dweller, it holds its own charm! Problem is to find the right one, the vintage train left the station long time ago… Moderns are too chunky and square for my taste... .....Story

As you know I have a set of three Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox reference E 877 a.k.a Snowdrop. Of course, the Snowdrop should be a part of these Box Play posts! Before I show you the boxes I need to tell you the story behind them… One of my Snowdrops are NOS including box and papers. With the watch was a very odd-looking box which I never saw before… The watch I found in Portugal, confirmed with their tax stamp on the case. As mentioned, this was the first time I saw one of these boxes… Cool, almost psychedelic .....Story

While visiting my hard disc, I fell on pictures featuring some of my vintage Rolex watches with box and papers. Not that owning a full set the most important thing, when it comes to vintage, as a nice watch is everything, but it is a plus which is quite rewarding and a pleasant " bonus ". So, I started to make an inventory, and to check what I have and what I miss. GMT MASTER: 6542: I have the certificate and the warranty, I miss the tough to find box and the booklet...Story
