Hands on review of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore "Ghost" 26470IO

I wanted to come back to the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore "Ghost" which I particularly appreciate... And as you understood it, I finally decided to buy it! Let's be clear: it does not revolutionize this collection but it has enough interesting details to distinguish itself from other models. The first element that strikes the mind is its chromatic approach, resolutely monochrome. This atmosphere all in shades of gray can't be more seductive and refined...">Story

My view on the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore 50th Anniversary Byblos

Avatar

I have to warn you about something: Summer is getting closer (and so think about your shape!). But why did I guess this? Simply because Audemars Piguet has just released two watches (one for men, one for ladies) in a context of a limited edition which celebates the 50th anniversary of the famous Byblos Palace Hotel in Saint-Tropez. So the conclusion is easy: the watches are perfect for spending nice holidays under the hot sun of the South of France. To be honest with you, I will not write a large novel about .....">Story

A visit to Audemars Piguet in Le Brassus

Avatar
DonCorson
Audemars Piguet is one of the few major watchmaking companies that has been able to remain a family run business. It has retained its worship of quality and fine finishing in the place of the worship of profit as has fallen most of the rest of industry worldwide. It is a particular pleasure to be able to make a visit to Audemars Piguet, on a guided tour through the Audemars Piguet museum and in their workshops. The entrance of the Audemars Piguet factory in Le Brassus decked out for the year end holidays...">Story

SIHH 2017: Audemars Piguet Live Photo & Report

Some have already reported here and you have seen most of them, but I saw something very special today. Overall, I am impressed with the collection this year from Audemars Piguet - many brands seemed to be showing less "challenging" or "innovative" models while Audemars Piguet was showing very challenging and attractive models. They are all interesting. In other words, Audemars Piguet has not changed as has the environment of the industry...">Story

RB II - The Formula One Inspired Watch

Avatar

The RB II needs no introduction. It is THE BOSS of all Royal Oak Offshores! Its design is the boldest statement in the Offshore range. The rest are merely paying homage to the RB II. The Montoya may have been the break out piece, but the RB II perfected it in my opinion...">Story

Walter Scheel, former German Foreign Affairs Minister & AP lover, dies aged 97

Avatar
Ornatus-Mundi
For us who grew up in a divided Germany and had the incredible luck to witness the fall of the Berlin wall, today is a sad day: One of the key protagonists of the rapprochement between the East and the West, former (West-) German Minster of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Walter Scheel , died aged 97. (left, US Foreign Minster Henry Kissinger; right, German Foreign Minster Walter Scheel) A tiny historical detail which is little known is that Walter Scheel was an epicurean at heart and as such also an avid watch lover ... ...">Story

Born bold - yet understated... The AP Diver

Avatar
Semper Fidelis
Not that I want to scare anyone, particularly after having seen the recent post of J.Sim1984 with his magnificent shot of the AP Diver - but mine must be the most beaten up member of my humble rotation... Scuffs, scratches, marks of known and unknown origin. Signs of several years of wear, fun and happiness. Yet, no looking back and always a happy camper wearing my diver after all these years! Timelessly clad in steel and black, it is in my opinion one of the most understated, classy yet bold sports watches .....">Story

Up close and personal with the new AP Royal Oak Offshore Diver Chronograph.

I had the opportunity to attend an AP event here in NYC last week and as with all AP events that I have ever attended, it was first class all the way. Currently the boutique is in a temp space across the street on 57th so I didn't get many pictures of the inside (it still looks very nice in there btw!) but speaking with Mr. Xavier Nolot the re-modeled space is set to open this September. I am very much looking forward to checking out that update! What I did want to focus on while I was there is the new AP .....">Story
