I prefer the new dial on the WG version, but without "Automatic" written on it. It kills the purity of the dial and as always "less is more".
Would expect a white dial offer which could be more sporty IMHO.
This new collection from L&S is to followed for sure.

Solid review...
There are a lot of pros and cons of this watch. But... all I just want the 1815 40 mm in white gold. A simple time only watch that is large, handsome, well finished, fun to wind, and so on. That's all I want from the super-brand Lange.
Sadly no longer exists as a new watch anymore. Model 233.026 has been replaced by 235.026 which is 38.5mm and not 40mm.
The RL is definitely a nice piece, but I'm looking for a petite seconds.
I still do prefer the strap version,BUT

I agree on two main points. The white gold version is very attractive and Lange did a good job differentiating then aesthetically. I also agree this watch makes more sense in steel to suit its practicality. Best,
