There are a lot of pros and cons of this watch. But... all I just want the 1815 40 mm in white gold. A simple time only watch that is large, handsome, well finished, fun to wind, and so on. That's all I want from the super-brand Lange.

The RL is definitely a nice piece, but I'm looking for a petite seconds.

I doubt Lange's designers, like many others, have ever heard about ergonomics . Is the wrist shape such an impossible object like the Penrose triangle or Escher stairs? The bracelet IS the perfect match for the Odysseus, straps should have been given for ... 

I prefer the new dial on the WG version, but without "Automatic" written on it. It kills the purity of the dial and as always "less is more". Would expect a white dial offer which could be more sporty IMHO. This new collection from L&S is to followed for ... 

I agree on two main points. The white gold version is very attractive and Lange did a good job differentiating then aesthetically. I also agree this watch makes more sense in steel to suit its practicality. Best,

Great write, thanks. A Lange that is exactly how a sporty Lange is supposed to look like. It's a big F towards these lame people who just wanted another rip off. They can cry me a river! On the other hand I despise the recent development regarding supply ... 

The original (pre-COVID-19) plan was for ADs to begin receiving steel Datomatics around April 2020, for their loyal customers who pre-ordered and I think left deposits for them. Then with COVID-19 I believe there were some pandemic-related production disr... 

As of now it seems like they act that they’ve never made such promise to some of those collectors.

I have a clear preference for the white gold model. It is mainly the dial that makes the difference for me: the additional tasteful decoration and the grey color! I would definitely opt for the rubber strap as this is the more unique look in the context o... 

To be honest, the integration of the strap is definitely a no-go for me. I do believe that Lange stretched it a bit integrating the bracelet on the steel version, which was not necessary in my opinion. I would have preferred a sporty steel version with br...

...a new appreciation for the strap version. But I still can't get over the day of the week window...I find it kind of silly in a non-PC. I would have just preferred a centered large date a 12 and leave it at that. But that ship has sailed...

I love my steel Odysseus even though it’s barely one month into ownership. I actually like the dial of the WG model abit more than the steel model. But as an overall package, the steel Odysseus is more special (at least for me) with its bracelet, it is di... 

But based on my very recent conversation with a Lange staff, they don’t have the intention to have the steel Odysseus available at ADs for sale. Their strategy seems to be to keep the Odysseus steel a boutique exclusive piece ala APRO 15202. Only the WG m... 

The blue does not work for me.... But neither really inspire excitement... for myself... There is some future example that will be more cohesive... the big day date at 9 and 3 ... is distinctive but also 'weird'. Probably a WG black dial on a bracelet wil...
