Doing something like that, is really damaging the image for me. It reminds me JLC which is quite bad when you want to compete with Patek or Vacheron.
That said, I think Lange had a good SIHH overall with nice novelties.

that is not ready - the Grand (or shall we call it Huge ) Complication ? Was it 50mm?! Would have been impressed if it would be wearable. The 1815 Rattrapante PC looks interesting - at least from what I could see in the showcase outside the booth.
SIHH is a trade show...
They are showing products to dealers, primarily (yes there is some public press, but that isn't the focus). I can see the rationale of showing a work in progress, in that context. Hopefully it won't take 4 years to finish, a la the JLC Mega Sonnerie.
