It's a very nice watch, but ultimately can be very expensive from many perspectives.
Outside of the large case, the enamel dial, the watch is a two-hand watch with one hand changed as an hour jumping display. While a jumping hour is innovative, it's not something I feel justifies a major increase in price. So, I definitely see some people complaining about the price tag. There are plenty of other beautiful watches in this price range, and in this price range, many of those watches have other additional complications. I didn't know they made a black-dialed platinum-cased variant. Your photo seems to suggest a white gold cased watch (AU 750). I was offered a white gold black-dialed watch with an amazing serial number by my local Chopard boutique.
Overall, it's a very nice watch. And from another perspective, it isn't that expensive. If you compare the quality level, this is the equivalent to Vacheron Constantin and Patek Philippe. Those brands would charge about the same for such a watch with its large case, movement, and an email dial.
"Built from a 18 Kt rose gold plate, the dial is 100 % enamel: Enamel white grand feu for the dial itself, black enamel for the minute ring and indices. "
Did you mean the enamel dial has both white and black enamel? I thought it was all white enamel with the numbers printed on? That's not the case?
Thank you Amanico for the interesting retrospective of this watch!
