You bring up a good point... Our mortality is another reality that we should plan for... And I really don't know if perpetual calendars (which is now becoming ubiquitous, even Baume & Mercier has a perpetual calendar) are the way to go. I just go for something I really enjoy. And while I really like to have a date (it's always nice to have a reminder), I find that I'm living just fine without one!

At this point it’s probably driven by a desire to curate a “better” collection.
At this point I should be swapping incomings with outgoings, I’m trying to get to this point but struggling a little. To the extent that the collection continues to grow its really a failure of being able to do what I mentioned above.
