I already have all the watches I need. So why do I keep searching? What pushes you to acquire that next watch? Is it the desire for a new release? Are you searching for your grail or exit watch? Watch collectors seem to collect more than just watches and ... 

... but primarily because I’m nuts and have the disease.

In a world of fautina and wanna-be divers, I found this watch to be a very compelling and refreshing offering.

I like the idea of wearing a watch that only another collector would recognize.

1. I realize I want a nice simple watch that is easy to set and elegant. Preferably in white or rose gold. My daily watch has gravitated away from the Patek Philippe and other complex watches towards simple watches. I'm even getting lazy nowadays because ...

You bring up a good point... Our mortality is another reality that we should plan for... And I really don't know if perpetual calendars (which is now becoming ubiquitous, even Baume & Mercier has a perpetual calendar) are the way to go. I just go for some...

At this point I should be swapping incomings with outgoings, I’m trying to get to this point but struggling a little. To the extent that the collection continues to grow its really a failure of being able to do what I mentioned above.

And in the process, I acquired some. It just makes me happy to own a machine that can tell the passage of time.

At first I would say it would about passion, so if a watch is really making me passionate about it, I will want to have it... It is also to some degree and to this point to get a few classic watch for weekdays and also a bit more sporty and casual for the... 

We know there is no such a watch, but my heart keep believing there is. I also want multiple watches that suites different conditions : 2 daily watches, 2 dress watches, 2 casual watches, and 1 diver. Have bought and sold many watches, I feel my taste is ... 

I like the idea of owning different watches for different conditions.

On the weekend I would love an alternative to my Garmin watch!

I paint a 10-15 year hazy horizon of where i think i want to be and do some adjustments here and there. After doing that for most of my life, I realize that while life has been humming along ok, that getting to your projected pitstops or heck even arrivin...

My purchases this year back that up. I finally bought an AHCI watch (Klaauw Satellite), an unheard of historic quartz watch (IWC Delirium), and a pair of Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos clocks (a brass beater and historic Colani). I don’t really need another watch...

I am a bit disappointed by watches from these very last years, as if the Watch Industry took some distance with their hard core collectors, for some new clients. They are making watches for clients, more than for true collectors and passionate watch lover...
