Just to get an idea of your point of view, how'd you consider the IWC Ingenieur caliber than(using large part of the 7750 going train, keyless works....., but different plate and bridges, automatic winding, date mechanism....) - is it "based on", using an ebauche (which somehow would include getting the ebauche from the ebauche maker), or would that be "inspired by"?
Personally, I'm most suspicious when I hear "inspired" - but that's me
