Much ado about nothing....
I recall seeing the "morphing" photo of the JLC and Dufour movements. As others have stated it was a joke and not to be taken seriously. I can't recall if the JLC movement had brass plates, but if it does then that puts to rest the notion that Dufour is reworking the plates of an existing JLC since his are made from German silver - I have a piece of a plate at home that he showed me some finishing techniques on this past summer.
Honestly I think this is nothing more than stirring up controversy for the sake of it.
