I recall a revival looking something like this and housing a hand-wound movement with an extra-long index and engraved bridges, but I may be conflating a few references. Anybody remember?
You might be referring to the Reference 5448
It too was 46mm, but thicker (11mm) than the 5251. Nico posted about this reference several years ago. www.watchprosite.com
What is there not to love? For me I don't love the 46mm. I always wished the Portofino models were downzsized to at least 42mm.
Everything else about them I do love.
It wears much smaller than 46mm
Given its 8mm thickness (or should I say thinness), it actually fits very well and comfortably on my average size 17mm wrist.

I’ve always been a big fan of this one.
Love this layout, but 42mm instead of 46mm would be my preference. There’s one for sale in the market now, but no original warranty card, box, etc.
