Patek Philippe

Dear friends... I have to thank Emmanuel and Milos for their postings on the 5098r. That was how I got the courage and vibes to go ahead with my first Patek purchase. No regrets, only lots of admiration on its amazing finishing and true artform, even till...  

Concerning the 5124, I've tried on the J variant only. It's a very nice watch and I think the G might be even more appealing. That said, the case is a bit large for the 25-21 caliber: I think it looks better in the case of the 5098. Also, I'm not very fon...  

Thank you as always Emmanuel for valuable insights. You're spot on as this was the way I listed my thoughts. I have only 1 non round watch ie 5098r, only rose gold for precious metal cases, and none in salmon colour dial. Also its hard to resist when the ...

The 5026 is stunning BUT I personally have always found that yelllow and rose gold calatrava’s are hard to dress down. For me they read formal. The gondolo seems like it could be more versatile. Now I’m going to say something controversial and maybe not h... 

I do now understand why the Gondolo series has a strong divided interest. Likely the reason why they are also more affordable in the used market. I do have a reverso in my wish list and Breguet Classique too...both are honestly incredible contribution to ... 

Something about the bunched numerals here throws me off

Go for whichever one looks better on your wrist and with your outfit. For my wrist, The 5124 looks better than the 5026. Although, from an outfit perspective, the 5206 is probably easier to pair clothes for me. But, I think everyone knows I am partial to ... 

Kind of leaning towards the cambered stepped case of the 5124. Just sexy to my eyes... Rishi

I'm a fan of Art Deco design. But when I try on the 5124 and I try on the Jaeger-leCoultre Reverso, the Reverso just looks better. The movement finishing on the Reverso bothers me - as it is not as beautiful as the Patek Philippe. But at least I don't see... 

So I too love the idea of having 2 watch in one, or a flipping case. Check this piece out which i hold as a future interest... Hand engraved bridges plus rose engine turned guilloche on the dial Rishi ...  

I'd get that over the 5124!

In my case, this duo is completed by a Blancpain Leman 🥰 ...  

So, another vote for a Reverso over the 5124!

But a round watch may complement your 5098r.

To be honest, I slightly prefer the 5124g to this. I don’t envy Rishi in his decision as there are so so so many good options in the back catalogue that it makes it hard to choose just one!

My favorite Patek Philippe, bar none. In your shoes, I'd favor the Calatrave, both for the micro-rotor automatic caliber and because it exemplifies different facet of Patek Philippe as compare to the Gondolo. Further, I see the 5098R as the Gondolo to end...  

Love those comments...because I agree! By the way, I do find the ALS grand arkade equally beautiful, in fact more to me than the Cabaret. A potential piece for a future purchase. ...

The salmon dial of 5124 is unusual in a very good way whereas the black dial of the 5026 looks very powerful ! Personally I prefer the 5124 because the dial is more balanced vs the off-center subdial of the 5026. Furthermore, the gondolo would enable you ...

I got one a couple of years ago and wear it all of the time. Truly classic watch. Salmon dial is so unique. Sleeper watch.
