5270 vs 5970
Mostel,
I have had both together for a week. They are very different watches that have the same output of complications. The 5970 reminds me of the past. Everything about it says vintage or retro. The 5270 screams current and future. After reflecting quite a bit, the 5270 is a great evolution in the line of perp chrono's. If I had to keep only one, I would vote 5270 (again only a week with both). I love both and I am blessed to be able to own both.

Wonderful pieces, congrats! I couldn't decide between the two, but if I had to, I prefer the 5970 - the dial feels more balanced and I prefer the tachymeter scale on it.
When I see pictures like this ...
thoughts like this: "Could this be the most charming version of the 5970?" come to my mind. I am a white metal guy (most of the time) and probably it won´t fit to my style, but I think I really could love it :-) Thanks! Oliver

What an outstanding addition to your already impressive collection
I am not a yellow gold guy. But if i would get one, the 5970j and the 5131j and the Lange PLM tourby would be the only watch i would consider. This one looks so natural in yellow gold, the case size and dial work so well in YG. Congrates Best Iceman
Even though YG is often the last choice
I personally --over the years--have concluded that Patek perpetuals and perp chronos are particularly well suited to YG and YG brings out their classic/ historic design features the best. (at least the 3940 and 5970... ) Congrats...
