The 5970J is most certainly a lovely addition your growing collection. :) Perhaps in a while you would be kind enough to write a comparison review between this one and the 5270:)

Wonderful pieces, congrats! I couldn't decide between the two, but if I had to, I prefer the 5970 - the dial feels more balanced and I prefer the tachymeter scale on it.

thoughts like this: "Could this be the most charming version of the 5970?" come to my mind. I am a white metal guy (most of the time) and probably it won´t fit to my style, but I think I really could love it :-) Thanks! Oliver

I am not a yellow gold guy. But if i would get one, the 5970j and the 5131j and the Lange PLM tourby would be the only watch i would consider. This one looks so natural in yellow gold, the case size and dial work so well in YG. Congrates Best Iceman

I personally --over the years--have concluded that Patek perpetuals and perp chronos are particularly well suited to YG and YG brings out their classic/ historic design features the best. (at least the 3940 and 5970... ) Congrats...

I am starting to have to 'remember' the 5270 is not a 5970... I look at it and think, wait, that's not a 5970... oh yeah... it's a 5270. So I guess the differences that were 'controversial' are not registering as much visually anymore. I like the smoke-co... 

Mostel, I have had both together for a week. They are very different watches that have the same output of complications. The 5970 reminds me of the past. Everything about it says vintage or retro. The 5270 screams current and future. After reflecting quit...
