Hi 👋 all, As my collection journey continues and as I get older (wiser maybe ??), I realize that, while dial designs and movements are important, another critical element is the
strap ! IMO a spiced up strap provides a new look to a watch, freshens the wrist presence and makes me feel that I have a new love !
Recently I changed the spiced up yellow strap on the 6000R to a "SPICER" yellow with bronze stitching and the effect is impactful ! Here are the previous posts on this reference.
My wife thinks that I am having mid-life crisis but I attribute it to my evolving and more "refined" taste with daring colors ! The fact that work nowadays requires less formal wear is another factor. No matter what, I feel proud to wear spiced up watches. Would you get or have you ever changed your strap to make your watch more interesting/daring ? Please chime in, and if possible, provide with photos !

I wish I was wise enough to afford 3 pateks 😂 That aside, the yellow strap really looks great! Takes a simpler piece and makes it fun. Makes the world timer extra fun. Love it.
The 6000R is almost perfect...
...but I have a problem with the bold type used for the dates. I could overlook it because of the sweet movement : )

Most importantly, makes me feel fun and joy when I look down and see a different strap on my watch or on other people’s watches - almost like a subtle nod that we can enjoy happiness as well even if a subtle way.
Yes, seeing the colorful strap matching the dial is a pure joy ! The spiced up straps are
actually NOT that subtle.

The yellow of the 5131 is perhaps a little too spicy for me, but the green one is perfect too. Changing the dark brown alligator strap of my Cornes de Vache, first for a dark burgundy alligator one with contrasting "gold" stitching and, later, for a light...

But that burgundy with the gold stitching stands out the most to my eyes!! 😎🤌
This is an interesting art watch, but I think this watch should be from China, because there is a map of China and the names of China's two first-tier cities on the watch.
I have seen many Chinese watches, but this watch is the most unique one I have ever seen.

It's always fun to change traps on our watches. Oftentimes it gives the watch a completely different look and I truly enjoy playing the *strap game* with mine as well.
I don’t know that buying very colorful watch straps qualifies as irrefutable evidence of a midlife crisis😂. Perhaps buying a sky moon tourbillion
and a unique red Ferrari to travel with the watch “might” be stronger evidence😊 And yes, a strap can make all the difference and it is a lot less expensive than buying a new watch. Here is an example Best, Patekova ...
