and I agree that with your way of reasoning it is likely that you would get more recongnition. However my experience is that if you come with a watch (or a car) that is seldom seen "live" but only in magazines you will get recogniton as well and that will come from people who are really interested and for that reason perhaps more stimulating to interact with.
