Thank you for your kind words... I try to come up with interesting topics. Forgive me when I come up with a boring one - it happens every now and then! You're definitely right about people wearing the same thing! I call it the "uniform." I was at a car event in Monterey, California during August (the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance) and I saw SO MANY Nautilus watches that I was actually annoyed! In one conference room at the RM Sotheby's auction, I actually counted more than 20, just in the people that I passed by to get to my seat! Funny, I was seated next to a Chinese fella who was wearing a Vacheron Constantin Traditionelle Tourbillon that I really liked, when I complimented his watch he even mentioned that he read a review on WatchProSite about his watch before he acquired it - I told him I wrote the article. But just an amazing amount of the same watch in the room it was almost like a uniform! I first attended the Pebble Beach Car week event nearly 20 years ago, and the Rolex President felt like a uniform then. But there were Chopard Mille Miglia, Panerai, IWC Portuguese, and other watches mixed in back then. A couple months ago stayed at a nice resort and at breakfast, six ladies and one man were wearing gold Rolex Daytonas (the man was wearing a steel one). Seems like everybody is going for the same thing.
