I'd certainly take it over a Santos/Tank or Gerald Charles. As an entry into Patek I think I'd be more excited about this than a base calatrava... Or even an aquanaut.

That dial layout does look far from good though.

Now that one created such a ruckus and was mentioned in every major newspaper around the world, it's now more than doubled in value.

Could be a decent looking watch, impossible to tell from the image present here. No idea why they would launch with this particular dial configuration as it doesn't feel iconic at all, they should have gone with the purest iteration of their new design to... 

These are very clear case lines - they should have kept it - either with no complication or at least with a symmetrical complication like date (as is) and small sec. at 6. But this dial design disrupts all the clear lines! A night mare… 😱😩

Go with a simple design that is likely to be a crowd pleaser. This is neither simple nor elegant.

The ALS big date feature is a nice touch. Truly is. Will be interesting to compare how much watchmaker hours and handcraft goes into the new PP versus the ALS. Maybe Patek has finally realized my idea of a 'Connoisseur Series' with modern high-horology ha... 

I can hardly believe that’s a real PP watch, even if it seems it is. Why would you spend time and money launching a new model like this one with the huge number of beautiful designs they already have and could improve on? In the meantime they have not lau...

At the moment they don't have a calibre with the moon phase and day of the week at 7 o'clock, seconds hand at 4 o'clock and date below 12 o'clock

These things take time.

On the display back could be Payek Philippe's new Connoisseur Series of movements. It will bring the retail brand more in line with modern horology, while also celebrating the heritage of watchmaking by needing 2x the watchmaker hoirs as the typical 60,00... 

If we were dreamers of dreams.... and PP gave enthusiasts such as myself a true voice for newfound inspiration and direction... ...but, instead, we get Kid Stern in charge. Frankly, my deepest and sincerest hope is that PP does not choose the easy path to...

But that Banksy idea was genius! Maybe Thierry is a genius in the same way? I know... The two don't even belong in the same sentence as they are worlds apart. Two very different kinds of genius.

I would ultimately love to see what comes of the upcoming event where its expected something new will be released.

I still think of it as a disease. It is part of the name of a medical condition regarding the arm or elbow.

I saw it months ago... not seeing it come out, I was relieved because I find it ugly, the dial is too busy... a patokcartierlange showing a lack of inspiration from the brand... like many others for that matter... and then it reappeared.... Some will buy ... 

if this watch said anything but Patek on it... people would dismiss it probably instantly... it's quite the dog... and the big date is another feature that would be summarily shot dead on sight... if it were another brand introducing a big date on a new w... 

Although I personally like the idea of a quartz watch! During the pandemic, because watches were so infrequently worn, I picked them up and they were always stopped. I thought... If only I had a quartz watch!
