Hi,
I understand your point about the Hermes and LV bag but clearly and undoubtedly for me the gold Calatrava is the LV plastic bag (gold flashes at people) while the Nautilus is the Hermes one: even in the developped world nearly nobody identifies a Nautilus.
The Nautilus (in steel, what a Nautilus is IMVHO) is definitely off the radar compared to a gold Calatrava.
If you think that people identify a Nautilus (I mean real people in any street, not the readers of this forum), you should go out and have a look.

Agree with all the above.............go with a Nautilus or Aquanaut. Or possibly a pre owned Calatrava date, such as the 5107 or 5127
